Glowing Embers RV Park

Thursday | 2 August 2001 | Edmonton, Alberta, Canada: - Edmonton or Bust! We made it and have driven 1,375 miles - nearly all of it along beautiful, scenic highways. Below is a photo of the typical view from Pine Lake to Edmonton today:

Appearing soon at a supermarket near you - Canola Oil

We are camped west of Edmonton and need to figure our route to Commonwealth Stadium every day - we can drive, take a shuttle or take light rail. I am sure we will try every option at least once for the ten-day meet. Our campsite is really quite nice - we have a tree for shade, a large site with a lawn and picnic table. We have great satellite reception and great reception, via the antenna, of the local TV stations, so we can keep up with the local news and weather and track meet coverage.

From the local news and newspapers we know Michael Johnson is in town. Szabo is threatening a boycott. It may or may not rain for the next week. (That would not be fun.)

Note to Readers: We will be in Edmonton for ten days attending the World Track & Field Championships. If you are not into track & field (what???) you may wish to jump ahead to August 13, when we head out to Jasper National Park.
