Seven Feathers RV Park
Wednesday | 21 February 2001 | Canyonville, Oregon: We
spent the past few days in Merced, California with family and are now nearly
home. Our second-to-last day of the trip! (We take our time getting home.)
We drove over 7 hours though and ended up in Canyonville again. A convenient
spot to stop... RV Park, Casino, grocery store and Italian restaurant...
gosh, don't know why we just don't move here??? Oh, I remember now -
poor cell service and no modem hook-up (or Nordstrom)! We spoke with Lisa
today and she is finally feeling a little better from her bronchitis. Her
antibiotics make her queasy, and she is still coughing a lot... but she is
back to school and back to her internship.
Added later: We went over to the Italian restaurant,
Serafino, and had the nicest meal. Nothing fancy. No tablecloths. Paper
napkins. Good food. 'Nuff said. There are only four restaurants in
Canyonville (outside of the 24-hour restaurant at the Indian casino):
Serafino, a saloon, a Mexican place and a Burger King. Never made it over to
the casino... so am still flush with my Vegas winnings.

Thursday | 22 February 2001 | Home: We had breakfast at the
casino - no gambling - just food. We drove the 4 hours home, straight north
on I-5 and are now unpacked and have gone through 3 weeks of mail! Busy day.
Snickers is happy to be home!!!
Another great, safe trip. Lots of family and friends on this trip - which
makes it more memorable.
