Beaudry's

Saturday - 23 November 2002: Tucson, Arizona - Okay, so we won't be going to Las Vegas Bowl. Ducks lost - AGAIN! Oh, my driver is in the funkiest of funks. We again spent the afternoon at a local sports bar, continuing our quest for the best wings in America. (The title is still held by the sports bar near Pensacola, Florida.) The sports bar was quite busy because of the basketball game going on across town - Arizona v. Western Kentucky. That game was such a blow-out, with Arizona winning; the fans began leaving at half-time. We were the only Ducks watching the game from Corvallis. The place was filling up with Cougars as we left... and we left well before the game was over.

Before the game, we spent more time touring through more motor homes. I am more confused than ever - we went through some we had seen before, and a few different models on another area of this huge facility. We have definitely crossed a few OFF on our list, and our ON list isn't very exciting. I found one floorplan I think would work. Possibly. But now I can't remember what I liked about it... and have to go back for more confusion. The same salesman followed us (and drove us around in a golf cart) today. I think he really has learned that we are not going to buy a coach NOW. You could not believe the number of coaches flying off the lot here. And I am talking $200,000 to $400,000 motor homes!  "I can make you a really good deal." "Money is cheap now." "We could really use your trade-in." Keep on talking - but we are just looking.

After the devastating loss, we came back to our "great trade-in" and spent some time in the hot tub. Very refreshing, as it was a lot cooler in Tucson today - 81. I am putting away all my Duck football stuff and getting out all my GW basketball stuff. Bring on the basketball season - a kinder, gentler, sport.
