Bedillon's Cactus Garden
Saturday - 10 January 2004 - Casa Grande, Arizona:
The weather was outstanding today! We had a lazy morning in the sun, reading
the paper and drinking coffee. Really relaxing. In the afternoon we did a
little shopping (they have a Liz Golf outlet!), ran errands and made a
tee-time for tomorrow.
Tonight we went out for dinner to the "best restaurant in Casa Grande",
Bedillon's Cactus Garden. The food was truly awful - but the staff was
friendly and the cactus garden was enchanting, especially at night. I can
imagine, on a warm evening, having a cocktail at a table set out amongst the
cactus could be quite spectacular. Tonight, at 7:30 pm, we had the place to
ourselves. We were the only customers in the entire restaurant. The waitress
told us they were swamped earlier. Early bird specials? My parents
recommended Bedillion's and say they always have a good meal here, so we are
hoping we caught them on a bad night.
