Frequently Asked Questions

What type of RV do you own?
We have a 2004 Country Coach Intrigue motorhome... with over 50,000 miles on the odometer. It has a 400hp Cummins diesel engine. Our first RV was a pop-top VW, then a 19-foot Terry Travel Trailer. When DT retired we bought our first motorhome - a 1999 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. Four years later, we bought the Country Coach, which we still drive today.

Which RV clubs do you belong to?
We are members of Good Sam and FMCA and also belong to our local Country Coach group.

Why doesn't your dog travel with you anymore?
Our Old Beagle, Snickers the Wonder Dog, passed away 21 February 2006. He was fifteen years old. He never took to the RV lifestyle and he was quite deaf and blind the last three or four years of his life. Snickers also had a very difficult time exiting the motorhome (he could get in; he just couldn't get out). Snickers had been to every state except Hawaii, Alaska and Missouri. We miss him very much. Thank you for asking.

What type of digital camera to you use?
I have three - all Sony. Landscape shots are usually taken with the Cybershot H50. Food shots are usually taken with the little pocket-sized Sony Cybershot T-200. We also have a Sony Handycam CX7 video camera.

Why don't you ever drive?
I am sight impaired. I'm not wearing sunglasses in all those photos because I'm a movie star - they are prescription. Trust me, the highways are safer with me in the passenger seat.

What is the BC2?
Our first Honda CRV. I was telling my sister-in-law the 1999 CRV seemed a bit tinny, like a Beer Can and our toddler niece, the very clever Delaney said it was like a Barbie Car. (Of course, she pronounced it Baawby-Caw.) Since then, that car was always referred to as the Beer-Can-Barbie-Car or the BC2, and Delaney has dropped the baby talk for cell-phone texting. Joke aside, we love the Honda and are now on our third CRV. The car is greatly improved since 1999 and, though still small, it would need to be called a Bean Can Barney Car these days.
